You can only find 3 of the hidden Monokumas before the coconut party event. But either way, it's going to involve a lot of grinding or resetting. The fastest way to farm Monocoins is probably just replaying old trials, you get a lot from that. And yes, you need the Man's Nut at the start of Chapter 2.
Hidden Monokumas can be found throughout all six chapters of the game, with 4 in Daily Life and 1 in the Class Trial. The exception to this format is Chapter 6, where Deadly Life replaces Daily Life.
